Climate Change and Disaster Resilience: Trajectories and Challenges Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

In line with National Resilience Month 2021, the CPS in partnership with the Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) conducted a webinar that provided relevant discussions on the impacts of climate change and disasters in the context of the ongoing pandemic.

The webinar highlighted the importance of resilience, both as a process and as an outcome, in the development of programs and projects aimed at addressing climate change and disasters in the province.

The online lecture was delivered by Mr. Jeffrey Perez, licensed geologist and Supervising Science Research Specialist at the PHILVOLCS- Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and Dr. Kristoffer Berse, Director for Research and Creative Work at the UP-Resilience Institute (UPRI), University of the Philippines Diliman.

Held on July 28, 2021, the webinar was attended by almost 1,000 participants.
