Lecture-Forum on Mainstreaming Integrated Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction in Local Development Planning

In 2019, the fourth lecture was conducted and delivered by Dr. Ebinezer R. Florano, Associate Professor at the UP – National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) and Director of the UP Center for Policy and Executive Development (UP-CPED).

The lecture emphasized the importance of integrating climate change and disaster risk reduction in local development planning and provided some valuable examples of the said framework.

A panel of reactors from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), was invited to provide their insights on the presentation.

Held on March 14, 2019, at the Sison Auditorium, the lecture was attended by 427 delegates from various institutions, agencies, and organizations – from local government units (LGUs) to higher education institutions (HEIs).
